Kellie Pickler takes us back with "Closer to Nowhere"
t refreshing. Pickler's voice is a perfect fit for the seductive and cheeky release.
"We can go some place where there ain't nobody around us / take a ride out there where the stars look a little less crowded."
On some parts of the song, Pickler seems a little drowned out by the instrumentation. The intense production blows up on a song that probably didn't need it. Regardless, the song is still great and on par with the best stuff country radio plays.
I was quite surprised that the fiery "Little Bit Gypsy" wasn't more of a hit. But hopefully this song will prove a little more successful. It certainly is the most radio friendly song on her newest album, "The Woman I Am".
